This is one of the best sources of vegan B12 on the market. It is not raw, but Raw Fusion recommends it as a highly reliable source of B12 for vegans and vegetarians alike! In addition to B12 it is a complete protein source.

Source and Processing

Quantum’s nutritional yeast flakes is grown from a pure strain of Saccharomyces Yeast (not contaminated or accidental wild strains) It has been tested to ensure it is candida albicans negative and gluten free.

It is grown on Molasses, avoiding the use of industrial sludge or refined sugar - a common practice amongst many nutritional yeast producers. It is devoid of sugar and artificial colors or flavors.

It has been carefully dried on roller drums to minimize the drying time and avoid mega high heat used in most pasteurized nutritional yeast flake products.

While this product is not raw (heated above 135°F), Raw Fusion highly recommends this product to vegans and vegetarians to ensure they have an adequate supply of B12.

Recipe

Cheddar Nut Cheese (4 servings)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of soaked and dehydrated cashews
  • ½ cup of soaked and dehydrated sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup of water
  • 2 tbsp of nutritional flakes
  • 1 tsp of sea salt
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 lemon, peeled
  • Dash of cayenne
  • (Optional) add up to 1 cups of additional water to make cheddar nut cheese sauce.

Preparation: Blend and serve.
